As you would expect, the senior management team has vast experience in pensions, the software industry and corporate management.
Finlay Ross, F.I.A.
Executive Chairman
Finlay founded the company along with Chief Executive David Ackroyd in 1998, and is Executive Chairman with responsibility for product strategy. Finlay is a qualified actuary and has over 25 years experience in the Life and Pensions industry with significant experience in the development, implementation and running of large life and pensions administration systems.
Previously, Finlay was responsible for the Pensions Administration business at Watson Wyatt Partners and has also worked for KPMG, where he established a successful Benefits Consultancy.
David Ackroyd, F.I.A.
Chief Executive
David joined aquila on its formation in 1998, having led the negotiations to take aquila independent. He has overall responsibility for all our commercial relationships, and ultimate responsibility for the service levels we provide to our clients. He is focussed on ensuring that aquilaheywood builds on its position as the leading provider of pensions administration software solutions.
Prior to joining aquilaheywood, David spent over ten years as a Director of a large City-based firm of stockbrokers, where he had specific responsibility for global fixed interest. David is a qualified actuary.
Pat Marchbank,
Client Service Director
Pat manages the public sector business at heywood and has played a key role in growing it to become the dominant force in public sector pensions administration software. She has in depth knowledge of public sector pension schemes and has leveraged this to ensure that heywood's software solutions continue to meet the changing needs of clients.
Pat has over 25 years of experience of implementing pensions administration software, and for the past 17 years has managed the public sector at heywood. She has a number of public sector qualifications and is widely known within the public sector marketplace.
Paul Tajasque ACA
Group Accountant
Paul joined in 2003 as Group Accountant. He is Joint Company Secretary for the Group.
Previously, Paul was Group Financial Controller and Finance Director at The Exchange following various senior General and Financial Management roles in software and financial services companies. He is a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants.
Caroline Bews
Group Quality Manager
Caroline joined aquilaheywood in 2001 as Quality Manager and is responsible for implementing and maintaining the Quality Management System (QMS). The prime aim of the QMS is to constantly measure and improve overall client satisfaction.
Caroline previously worked for Misys International Banking Systems as Quality Manager, and fulfilled operational roles covering the sales support, implementation and support of banking systems. Prior to Misys she worked in Pensions, HR, Quality and IT.
