Life at Heywood

Our mission is to be the leading provider of data driven, technology enabled software solutions for all workplace pensions.

We do this by providing products that allow pension funds to administer their members’ pensions in addition to an online portal to allow people to view and control their pensions, and a product to allow employers to easily achieve their pension obligations.

Our software is currently responsible for over 7 million pensions - a number that is only going to increase.

Since our acquisition by BlackRock’s Long-Term Private Capital (LTPC), our plans have become more ambitious. Over the coming years, our software will revolutionise how people access and control their pensions by leveraging modern technologies and putting people at the centre of all our software solutions. Whether that be building a market-changing product that will transform the pension members' experience, or being one of the first software providers to collaborate on the UK Government-led initiative to allow anyone to find all of their workplace pensions on a single website.

Giving back

Our people get a great sense of achievement, satisfaction and wellbeing by being able to give something back through the support of a charity. We actively encourage everyone to engage with and contribute to our wider community.

We are proud to be corporate partners of The Christie Charitable Fund, matching the funding raised from our people taking part in sponsored events, raffles and direct payroll donations.

Since 2020 we have been awarded the annual Payroll Giving Award, celebrating a culture of giving in the workplace and making a difference together.

Our partnership with The Turing Trust helps to enhance the education of children and adults across Africa and contribute to an environmentally-friendly society. Founded by the family of Alan Turing, the charity uses technology to empower disadvantaged communities, providing students with refurbished IT equipment and educational software.

Continuous Learning With Hive

A collaborative sense of community unites people here at Heywood, which is why we established Hive in 2016. Hive is a once-a-month community day for the entire business to learn and grow together.

I have worked at a number of companies that talk about people having a day a month for learning and development, Heywood is the first company I have worked for where this is a reality. There are great sessions put on by staff and occasional external speakers, plus time for focused self-learning that the day-to-day work just doesn’t allow for.
