Our Environmental Commitment
We are fully committed to protecting and improving the quality of our working and local environments. We work proactively with our employees, customers and suppliers to achieve a safer, cleaner, healthier and sustainable environment which will meet present and future legislative needs.
Cycle to Work Scheme
Our Cycle to Work Scheme is a great eco-friendly benefit for our employees and keeps our carbon footprint low. Employees choose their equipment and Heywood buys it, hiring it to the employee who repays the cost over 12 months. The scheme offers tax and NI savings of up to 47%on the cycle.
Our Partnership with the Turing Trust
We donate old PCs to the Turing Trust, a charity which wipes data and restores unwanted computers before shipping them to Africa. The computers then start a new life – helping to enhance the education of both children and adults.
Renewable Energy
We have committed to purchasing 100% renewable energy by the end of 2023. Renewable source energy means purchasing from suppliers who generate electricity from non-carbon sources.
Our Data Centres
Our data centres are amongst the greenest facilities in Europe. They are managed in a sustainable way and are supplied with 100% renewable energy. They are ISO 14001 accredited and have achieved a Power Usage Efficiency (PUE) of 1.1.
